Frisco ISD Students Learn to Put Others First

The weather outside may get frightful at times, but in Frisco ISD, the warm hearts of volunteers help keep winter’s chill away for students in need. Supporters of the annual Small World Angel Program work hard to ensure that more than 1,200 angels will receive much-needed items ranging from socks to jackets, as well as perhaps a toy or bike, this year.

Roach Middle School Collects $3,500 for Local Charity

Students at Roach Middle School may have lost a hard-fought battle on the basketball court, but the school’s recent Hoops for Hope fundraiser proved they are all winners. The charity basketball game raised nearly $3,500 for local non-profit With Love It’s a Small World. The organization will use the funds to support homeless students throughout Frisco ISD.

Small World and Kohl's Team Up at Sonntag Elementary

Employees from Kohl’s Department Stores teamed up with local charity With Love It's a Small World for a service project April 5 at Frisco ISD’s Sonntag Elementary School. Volunteers pulled weeds, picked up trash and painted paw prints, a U.S. map and other decor on the playground and sidewalks outside the school.

Frisco ISD Community Supports Children in Need

It is a sight to see – rows and rows of large black bags fill two rooms each December at Frisco ISD Transportation West. “There are so many volunteers who give so much,” said Debbie Henegan, board member of local non-profit With Love it’s a Small World. “People give their heart and soul and their time. It’s pretty incredible.”
